It's amazing, a few years ago, the biggest worry the republicans actually had about guy named Hussein was that an incredibly unsuccessful war in his country could stop W's reelection campaign. Well the war was a disaster from the start for those without weapons and/or oil contracts, but thanks to Karl Rove's ability to make people more worried about Gay Marriage than war and/or the economy, Georgie Dubs narrowly won reelection.
Fast forward to what is almost 5 years later, and a guy named Hussein—Barack Hussein Obama, that is—may send the "Party of Lincoln" down the same path as parties with names like Whig or Bullmoose. I know that's a little extreme and probably impossibly in a 2 party system in today's world, but if I were a Republican, I'd have nightmares about these numbers. As a Democrat who didn't know political power until 2006, it's hard to pretend or even try to pretend, to keep an objective/academic perspective on these numbers because I can't stop smiling anytime I look at them.
